Wow, serious delinquent after 30 days that is absolutely terrible. And yes I do know about the paperless billing it has called me out quite a few times. And they do not like to go back to paper billing afterwards. I do believe in keeping the cards after I have cleared them as long as there is no annual fee, I think this is good practice. UPDATE - We waited 30 days after paying down credit cards and having the credit bureaus remove the erroneous information. A new credit report revealed that in 30 days, my score went up to 780. It's probably even higher now. With that score, we were able to refinance our house at the best available rates and cut our payment way down!
