The best party in Cherry Creek North …

This past Saturday I had the pleasure of attending the Cherry Creek North Food & Wine Festival featuring the best restaurants in the area.
The red carpet was literally rolled out at the VIP entrance with glasses of champagne waiting to help attendees kick off the event in style. I would suggest going the VIP route because it gives you early access to the event before the crowd fills in. Oh, and did I mention the event goodie bag that included red sunglasses with a cherry on them – too cute!
All my favorite restaurants were there, and even some new ones. The best presentation and range of flavors of the night was the ahi tuna dish from Departure at the Halcyon. My overall favorite was the barbecued rib plate from Cherry Creek Grill. The best comfort food was the nacho plate from Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar. And, my favorite Cherry Creek North appetizer of all, ahi tuna tacos, was featured at the  Del Frisco’s Grill table.

The weather was perfect for the event with clear skies and a subtle breeze. The band rocked out while party goers mingled and sampled all the exquiste dishes. I had a blast dressing up in boas and a top hat at the 5280 photo booth
It always amazes me that it takes a full day to set up all the tents and vendor displays, but only one night to tear it all down. Thank you Cherry Creek North for another wonderful night under the stars. Until next year …
