1117 S. Clarkson street was an absolute dream. It is a gorgeous, updated Wash Park home with a generous open floor plan that allows for the trials and tribulations of everyday life (and entertaining…whoop whoop!).
You should have seen the spectacular wood floors that ran throughout the main level. From the front entry, to the office, all the way to the dining room. The kitchen, as you can see from the photo above, has a well-appointed kitchen with SS appliances, 6-burner Wolf range, and a bar area.
Two main floor bedrooms and a full bath decorate the interior, with a master suite that includes a private Juliette balcony, 5-piece bath with double-sided fireplace, and walk-in closet with Elfa shelving. The second floor boasts two additional light-filled bedrooms, a laundry room, and a full bathroom.
The finished basement features a casual (casual!) theater area and gym. There was a secondary basement which could have been easily updated and connected to the main basement area.
The beautifully landscaped yard with new sod was a dream…and I could have spent all day out there! The secluded lounge area with bistro lights and additional dining space with the kitchen was spectacular, and made me day dream about all the fantastic entertaining I could do if this were my home!
One of the best parts of this home was…..location location location! Old S Gaylord and Pearl streets are a few blocks away. Whole Foods, the light rail and the infamous Washington Park are practically in the backyard of this home…. It was one of my favorites, and I hope you enjoy the photos!
