Spotlight on the LoHi Neighborhood!
Denver’s LoHi Neighborhood is One of the Best in the Country, and For Good Reason
The LoHi neighborhood has experienced fantastic growth and change over the last few years. Trendy bars, live music venues, fashionable boutiques, and mouthwatering restaurants are contributing to LoHi’s popularity. The gorgeous views of Downtown Denver and the Rocky mountains add to its appeal, and the proximity of popular sporting arenas and Denver’s impressive cultural attractions make this neighborhood desired by young professionals and active retirees alike. The homes range from gorgeous Victorian-era styles to modern bungalows. I’m excited to share some of my favorite spots in the LoHi neighborhood with you!
Linger
Linger is one of Denver’s most popular restaurants, and for good reason. Their cuisine ranges from European and Middle Eastern to American and Caribbean. There is something on the menu for everyone. Linger serves brunch, lunch, and dinner, with an amazing happy hour from 4pm-6:30pm to top it off. They offer valet parking Tuesday-Saturday during dinner. Their fantastic rooftops presents spectacular views of the city- you won’t want to leave! Linger offers the option to make reservations online, which I highly recommend as this is one of Denver’s most coveted spots. Enjoy!
Little Man Ice Cream
Have a hankering for something sweet after that amazing dinner at Linger? Little Man Ice Cream is located right next door, and they serve up some of Denver’s best! They pride themselves on having some of Denver’s tastiest and freshest homemade ice cream. The friendly staff serves you delicious treats out of a 28 ft tall milk can, which has become a landmark for the LoHi neighborhood. Take a look at their menu and enjoy! I highly recommend the Salted Oreo!
Recess
Recess is a trendy beer garden located in the heart of the LoHi neighborhood. They have an extensive beer list to accompany their delicious food menu. Their beer list ranges from popular local Colorado breweries to astounding draft beers from all across the country. Recess has an amazing outdoor patio with plenty of seating and an outdoor bar. It’s the perfect place to bring large groups, and they even host private parties!
True: A Holistic Boutique
True: A Holistic Boutique recently opened their second store in the LoHi neighborhood. They offer beautiful jewelry, clothing, and accessories as well as books on wellness and a selection of self-care products. True hosts an event called Women’s Wellness Wednesdays where health and wellness, energy, and stress are discussed and workshopped. They were voted Best New Boutique by Westword 2018, and I highly recommend paying them a visit!
The Wooden Spoon Cafe and Bakery
The Wooden Spoon is a small family owned cafe and bakery in the LoHi neighborhood. They have fantastic fresh pastries baked daily, and serve up an unforgettable breakfast and lunch. It is the perfect, quaint place to catch up on some emails with a cup of coffee or tea. If you’re hungry, I highly recommend their tarragon chicken salad! The Wooden Spoon takes specialty orders such as pies, tarts, cakes, and breakfast pastries. Be sure to order at least 48 hours in advance, as each order is made fresh.
