Aviano: A Blend of Comfort and Quality
215 St Paul St Suite 180, Denver | (720) 389-9948
244 Detroit St, Denver | (303) 399-8347
Aviano is a local favorite, with two locations at 215 St. Paul Street and 244 Detroit Street. The Detroit Street spot, in particular, is my personal favorite. Its outdoor patio is ideal for people-watching and catching up with friends. Inside, the communal farmhouse table adds to the cozy ambiance. The St. Paul location, situated conveniently below my secondary office space, offers more room but does have a bit of an echo. The unique bleacher seating and a striking mural add to its appeal. Both locations serve exceptional coffee and chai, and their pastries are a must-try, though they sell out quickly.

Novo Coffee: The Local’s Choice
1700 East 6th Ave Denver | (303) 295-7678
Novo Coffee, off 6th Avenue, captures the quintessential coffee shop vibe. It’s a welcoming space, ideal for meeting friends or simply working, complete with a handy printer. The effortless parking is a bonus. Their San Sebastian blend is my go-to for morning French press coffee. They also offer a selection of gluten-free baked goods and irresistible scones. The nearby Country Club Flower Shop, just a few steps away, has become my favorite for floral arrangements.
Frank and Roze: More Than Just Coffee
4097 E 9th Ave, Denver | (720) 328-2960
Frank and Roze is in the 9+ Co development. It offers a diverse menu beyond coffee, including salads, sandwiches, wine, and craft beer. It has more of a restaurant feel, so it’s not my usual hangout spot, but the coffee and in-house baked pastries are excellent. Don’t miss their salted chocolate chip cookie – it’s a game-changer! Parking can be tricky. The nearby parking garage is a good alternative if street parking is packed.
Kochi Café: A Tea Room with a Twist
4100 E 8th Ave, Denver | (303) 321-0445
Right across the street from 9+ Co and adjacent to Manicured Denver, a favorite nail salon, is Kochi Café. While it’s known for its tea selection, the coffee here is also top-notch. And their empanadas are outstanding if you’re like me and enjoy a snack with your coffee!
In Cherry Creek, every coffee shop has its unique charm and offerings, making it a delightful adventure for those looking to explore the local coffee scene. From the cozy ambiance of Novo Coffee to the diverse offerings at Frank and Roze, there’s a spot for every mood and preference.
