What's To Love About Crestmoor | Denver, CO
The Crestmoor neighborhood is predominantly a residential neighborhood comprised of single-family homes situated on large lots situated on wide and winding streets. Manicured lawns, an abundance of healthy trees, and historic homes adorn this area, located adjacent to Mayfair, Hilltop, Lowry and is minutes from Cherry Creek. The heart of this tranquil neighborhood is Crestmoor Park. Softball fields, tennis courts, playground and ample grassy areas invite residents to enjoy the magic of Crestmoor Park all year long.
Crestmoor’s aesthetic primarily consists of neo-classic, colonial, and Tudor mansions along with traditional ranch style homes found in filing two and three. The Crestmoor Swimming and Tennis Club is one of the largest draws to the neighborhood located directly across the street from the park, and offers all summer fun for members and their families. Summer barbecues, tennis, and swimming are just a few of the activities they offer.
Amongst the winding Crestmoor streets you will find a variety of restaurants lining Holly Street. Some of my favorites are Park Burger with High Point Creamery right next door (try the ice cream flight). Some of my old standbys include Pete’s Fruits and Vegetables, Locanda Del Borgo and The Cheese Company Deli.
Membership to the Crestmoor Swimming and Tennis Club is open to all Denver residents, however they cap membership at 350 families per year with a one in, and one out policy. Reinstatements, Children of Members and residential owners of homes located in Crestmoor Filings I & II have priority. Applications require a primary and secondary sponsor as well.
Another special aspect of this charming community is the Crestmoor Park Garden Club. Founded in 1950, this women’s social group focuses on the study of horticulture and floral design to promote the beautification of Crestmoor Park.
Crestmoor is one of my favorite Denver neighborhoods, not just because I grew up here, but because of its close proximity to Downtown Denver and Cherry Creek which also maintining a sense of tranquility in the city.
