Enjoy a Fun-Filled Summer in One of My Favorite Colorado Towns: Vail!
Vail is one of my favorite Colorado mountain towns. It emanates magic and whimsy while offering irresistible dining, unique shopping, and unparalleled views of the Rocky Mountains. Vail is popular in the winter months for its unbelievable ski resort, but offers endless summer activities and fun for the whole family as well. I’m excited to share some of my favorite summer activities in Vail with you!
The Vail Jazz Festival
The Vail Jazz Festival is a 10 week program offering some of the world’s best jazz musicians and their talents. The streets of Vail are lined with 200 artists and over 75 performances. Vail Square, The Market, The Remedy, and the Riverwalk are all hosts of this summer concert series this year. Exploring the Whitewater Rapids
Various Whitewater Rafting tours are available for experienced rafters and beginners alike. Vail is home to some of Colorado’s best whitewater rafting trips and you can choose your favorite trip here. The Lower Browns Canyon Midwater Float Trip is best for people who want a relaxing ride and an amazing view of Vail.
Explore Vail Village
Vail is home to one of America’s biggest ski resorts, however, this magical little town is just as wonderful when ski season is over. History is palpable as you walk Vail’s endless streets. Exploring Vail’s unique restaurants and shops with your family is a wonderful way to spend the day. You can even sign up for the Vail Valley Food Tour for a taste of Vail’s most exceptional restaurants.
Epic Discovery
Epic Discovery prides itself on being one of Vail’s most popular destinations. This is the perfect all day activity for kids and adults, with adventure courses, zip lines, climbing walls, a mountain coaster, and more! You can book an Epic Discovery Lodging pass and save 10% on your hotel experience. Epic Discovery donates 1% of all revenue to the Nature Conservancy for for Forest Health and Restoration. Take a Llama to Lunch
Paragon Guides offers a Take a Llama to Lunch event where kids and adults can hike Vail’s mountains with a special friend! They make excellent trail companions and are quite popular with kids (and adults!). They have various packages you may choose from, most of which include lunch, water, and snacks for your half-day hike. Packs and rain gear are also provided, weather permitting.
