The Absolute Best Shops Along E. 6th Avenue: Homebody
The Absolute Best Shops Along E. 6th Avenue
Have you checked out the shops on E 6th Avenue Lately? Let me tell you, there are some true gems to be explored here. While still technically in Cherry Creek they feel like Cherry Creek’s little sister. They’re a bit hipper, locally owned and they have easy parking right outside the front doors! Oh, and did I mention parking is FREE!? Say goodbye to the meter and congestion in Cherry Creek and take a second look at the shops on 6th.
I have too much to share on this topic, so I’ve decided to break it up into a series. So, keep checking back to read about my favorite spots.
First up, Homebody!

Welcome to Homebody!
This has quickly become my favorite home goods store that I frequent on a monthly basis because the inventory is always changing. Owned by Dory Pratt, she and her staff rock the house. Dory helped me order some absolutely exquisite hand dyed throw pillows a year ago from an incredible artist out of Boulder. I absolutely adore them! While they are certainly an investment, I’ve been really pleased with how they wear. I adopted two rambunctious puppies shortly after purchasing my pillows and they all co-habitat peacefully.
Some of my linen napkins and coasters I can’t quite say the same for. The linen napkins, coasters, aprons and bedspreads that Homebody carries are absolutely to die for. I make a point my little collection of napkins weekly because it tends to dial up dinner and makes the meal feel a bit more special. The downside? It turns out my four-legged guy, Marcuccio, loves eating not only socks but also fine linen coasters. Lesson learned: Do not leave small bite size material products out for consumption.
The store has a well curated collection of goods from throughout the world. I’ve picked up beautiful bowls, leather key chains, candles and jewelry at this charming shop. My favorite thing about Homebody is that they will serve you a latte in a beautiful teacup and saucer so that you can really experience everything they have to offer. Yes, this can also be dangerous because you can’t help browsing while you sip. But, saying that I’ve also found some recent treasures this way.
“At Homebody we stock products that catch our eye and excite our senses. We hope that you will find a specially selected item that attracts your fancy too!”
