Denver’s Washington Park Garden Tour 2011 – A Feast for the Senses
We love to garden in Denver. There are garden tours in nearly every area of town this time of year. This weekend in Denver, we have an especially nice Garden tour in the treasure of a neighborhood we call Wash Park. The Washington Park Garden Tour is a benefit for the Denver Hospice, so mark your calendars for June 18th. Featuring 10 gardens, each with a different personality, the garden tour will be a particularly pleasant way to spend Saturday afternoon. You...Continue Reading!
Free Ice Cream Today in Denver!
Without ice cream, there would be darkness and chaos. ~Don Kardong Ahh, Ben & Jerry's. The stuff of many a late-night pig out session. Luckily, it comes in pints, and not just half gallons. For today only, it's free at local Denver Ben & Jerry's shops. And there happens to be a shop just down the street from us! I'll be a happy camper today. Stop into any of the locations for your free cone from noon to 8 p.m. Ben & Jerry's...Continue Reading!
LifeStyle Denver Takes an Overnight Detour to Winter Park
Lovely Colorado. You never can tell what's going to drop in on you. We like to rhetorically say about the weather this time of year, "Well, it IS springtime in the Rockies..." Yesterday began as a typically busy Wednesday. Sales meeting, then tour, then a broker open house. Afterward, I ran the leftovers to a friend who had severely sprained her wrist and bruised her face in a fall outside AT & T. (Note to AT & T: why would you put...Continue Reading!
Denver Calling – Why London Can’t Match Denver’s Lifestyle
Denver, Colorado, USA. A great place to live and a fabulous opportunity for anyone moving here. The 80's band The Clash sang about London Calling. I may have danced to that song in college, but I danced in Denver. Denver is a marvelous place to live and work, and now is a great time for buying a home in here. In Denver, property values are lower than London. A lot lower! We may not have Big Ben or the Changing of the...Continue Reading!

Tuesday and Wednesday, right before the Winter X Games, top competitors in skiing and snowboarding from around the world hit Denver to show their stuff. Expect awesome tricks, loads of excitement and a "yard sale" or two. The urban skiing and riding exhibition is expected to draw attention to Denver, and to the Colorado mountains. The ramp is 106 feet tall and will launch the skiers and snowboarders over 60 feet...Continue Reading!
Il Posto in Denver is Worth a Visit
I haven't reviewed a restaurant in quite awhile, but a friend remarked yesterday that he likes to read my blog, "even the restaurant reviews," so this is a shout out to Jeff! You should take Kathy to Il Posto when you have the opportunity. Not only is this a shout out to a friend, it's well deserved recognition to a local Denver restaurant that delights in every way except in honoring reservations. I'll get to that little bone to pick later,...Continue Reading!

You Are Going to Love The Tavern Restaurant in Denver’s Washington Park
When we eat out, we usually stick close to home. We often choose to walk to a nearby restaurant, and last week we chose the newly opened Tavern Wash Park. This is a high energy take on the other Tavern Restaurant in the Lowry neighborhood. Mainly because it's much smaller. The menu is very casual, and they're currently advertising a "romantic" Valentine's dinner, which I just can't picture. It will probably be more like a Valentine's dinner with the rest of...Continue Reading!
Denver Real Estate | Denver’s Architectural Styles
When you're selling your home in Denver, you may want to have the correct label on the house for it's architectural style. I've seen homes that were clearly Victorian labeled Tudor, or Mid-Century Modern called International Style. Denver Real Estate is replete with fabulous architectural styles, and remember, marketing is everything. Your Bungalow may or may not be Arts and Crafts. My home is a Tudor style, something my husband and I said we didn't want when we were looking for...Continue Reading!
